Overnight Celebrity Thrill (Empire of the Sun Remix ft. Twista & Kanye) - DJ 21azy
This remix crawled right up the web charts despite the fact that it was distributed with a title that suggested that Wiz Khalifa is on it. In fact he’s not, and the mistake is probably rooted in the fact that it’s basically Version 2.0 of the same remix from over a year ago featuring Wiz. DJ 21azy may have even sample that remix (as opposed to starting with the “original” tune). Either way, enjoyable listen.

PAZ - Whiskey & Cocaine
So this guy’s first mixtape was downloaded 600,000 times, and he left Yale for a semester to tour with Tim McGraw. Kanye West is giving him compliments, and if this track is any indication, there’s no doubt he’s got some exciting times ahead. There’s something real about PAZ, and I’d offer that if you enjoyed any of the Asher Roth or K-Flay stuff I’ve posted, go ahead and scope this.
Dilated Peoples feat. Kanye West - This Way
I’m throwing full credit on this post to Nathan at This Bonus Track, who posted this relic earlier this week and wouldn’t have crossed my radar (maybe ever again) otherwise. I’m posting it for the Kanye lovers/haters because let’s admit it, he’s easy/hard to hate. Also, I’m willing to best a lot of people missed this SEVEN years ago, a collab with a popular underground hip-hop crew.
La Roux - In For The Kill (Kanye West Remix)
I loved this song two years ago, and I gotta say I’m fully on board with the way musicians seem to have decided that this Fall should bring with it a La Roux remix barrage. This is Kanye’s take, over which he drops quite a round of rhymes. Perfect way to ramp up your Saturday night pre-party, kids.
KanYe West - Runaway
If you watched the VMAs you were treated to KanYe’s performance of this song, which I thought was one of the standouts among a relatively disappointing offering. The song’s a little hard to swallow at first, but it’s got a ring to it and it’s packed with all the ego, insecurity, arrogance, and class that you’d expect from our boy from Chicago.
KanYe West - Monster (feat. Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Bon Iver)
I mean…less than a week ago I said that Jay-Z wasn’t being fair, and here we are with the new class throwing anvils at the idea that hip hop and rap need direction. I swear, I’m not biased. KanYe’s a Chicago kid, but the dude has his pulse on music right now. I hate him, actually, but try to not bob your heads.
Kanye West - Power [snag]
As far as I can tell this track’s up for grabs, but I half expect to get a cease and desist, so grab it now. It’s the Chicago wonder’s new track in anticipation of this Fall’s new album, Good Ass Job.
