Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit - Codeine
I admit to not really getting into Jason Isbell, who you might know from his stint with Drive-By Truckers. DBT were a big hit with my friend in Chicago, and even afterwards when he released his widely acclaimed post-DBT album I sort of didn’t get it. His release earlier this year is pretty magical, and this song in particular is being featured all over the year end lists.
